More About Demetrius

He is a sixth-generation entrepreneur and Madisonville, Kentucky native. He started WeatherCheck after experience in the finance, roofing, and reconstruction industries helped him realize that key processes were ripe for authentic disruption. Demetrius is a futurist, and frequently speaks publicly on topics including financial technology, property technology, insurance technology, and diversity and inclusion. He is deeply involved in the innovation and entrepreneur communities.

Why a Founder Story?

We often hear and tell the stories about an entrepreneur’s big wins, however what’s often missing is the full picture of the founder’s journey that includes the hard times, the perseverance, and even the fun and fulfillment of building a company. This intentionally intimate (Twitter-free, and no recording!) will give the audience a dose of reality they wouldn’t get in any other context. These LEAP and Techstars hosted talks are a safe space to share and interact regarding personal details of the featured founder’s journey.
