On Monday, April 25th, Open Coffee will welcome Madison Cork, President and Founder of Cork Communications, who will be sharing her training seminar “Presentation Pro!” This is one of many workshops she shares at conferences and with corporations nationwide, to help presenters of all levels gain a competitive edge. From the first sales pitch to a well attended keynote, Madison guides her clients through the process of creating and delivering powerful presentations that win over audiences.Through her work as a coach and trainer at Cork Communications, Madison has the privilege of working with several Fortune 500 companies, successful nonprofits, politicians, media personalities, and independent business leaders in major markets across North America. She understands that creative marketing tools, intuitive websites, and PR opportunities are most effective when those utilizing them are able to speak to their audience with confidence, authenticity, and a mastery of their unique story. Her goal is to always make the last mile in the communication journey a successful one. She first discovered this in 2013 while on a call with a close friend and colleague in Los Angeles. Her friend had taken over a nonprofit and was preparing for her first fundraising pitch. Cork began coaching her on how to tell a great story and make the presentation come to life for the audience. By the time the call was over, Cork realized the knowledge she had gleaned from her years as an award winning actress and storyteller was translatable to the business community and Cork Communications was born. Knowing that the fear of public speaking outpaced the American public’s fear of snakes, sharks, and even heights, Cork went to work developing a system of training and coaching that provides a clear and concise method to turn even the most frightened presenter into a compelling one. In addition to her work at Cork Communications, Madison is a Professor of Communications, Theatre, and Voice at the University of Louisville and Bellarmine University as well as an accomplished Film, Television and Stage actress, holding highly prestigious awards such as an Ovation, LA Drama Critic’s, Backstage Garland, Denver Critic’s, and a Robbie for her excellence in performance. Madison holds a Master’s Degree from The George Washington University and a Bachelor’s from University of Colorado. ------------------------------------- We love startups.
