The Fall Menard Family Lecture Series featuring business executives continues in October with successful business and educational entrepreneur Robert L. Luddy. Mr. Luddy will discuss government regulation and how it impacts businesses and, as a result, consumers.

Bob Luddy started Raleigh, NC-based CaptiveAire Systems 40 years ago and has built the company into the nation's leading manufacturer of commercial kitchen ventilation systems. Today CaptiveAire has more than 1200 employees and 90 sales offices nationwide. Mr. Luddy has won several entrepreneurial, business, and civic awards.

Mr. Luddy is also passionate about quality education and has founded a number of schools in North Carolina, including Franklin Academy, a public charter school, St Thomas More Academy and Thales Academy, a network of private schools offering high-quality Pre-K through 12 education with affordable tuition.

Bob Luddy's talk is part of the BB&T Lecture Series. It is free and open to all. Free pizza will be served to attendees.
